Haiti government: 200,000 may have died

Haiti was hit by the 7.3-magnitude earthquake more than a week ago. The Haitian government estimates that some 200 thousand people may have died, and about 250 thousand others have been injured.

Meanwhile, the European Commission estimates that more than two million Hatians have been left homeless.

The UN casualties reached 49 on Thursday and more than 300 staff members remain unaccounted for.
