For more analysis on the newly released economic figures, our reporter Yuan Xiaoyuan spoke to professor Huo Deming from Peking University.

Q1: Hello, professor Huo, the fourth quarterly growth figures have exceeded most forecasts. Are they what you expected?

Q2: The economy has recovered, but there are still pressures on the government, such as inflation. Actually, consumer prices picked up in the fourth quarter after falling for much of the year. How do you view the problem?

Q3: Last week, banks were ordered to increase the amount they keep in reserve. Do you see any subtle changes in macro-economic and monetary policies?
