Special Report: World tackles A/H1N1 flu |

The Health Ministry has called for stronger preventative measures against the A/H1N1 virus over the New Year break and Spring Festival holiday.

The transportation and tourism sectors will step up surveillance on travellers. Vaccinations will focus on pregnant women, students, migrant workers and people with chronic diseases. More than 47 million people across the country have been vaccinated so far. Last week, the mainland reported nearly 4,500 new A/H1N1 cases and 93 deaths from the flu.
