Special Report: UN climate change conference in Copenhagen |

China has expressed hope that developed countries will make decisions in accordance with the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Kyoto Protocol. China's delegation at the climate conference in Copenhagen reiterated its call for common but differentiated responsibility on the basis of the Convention.

World leaders held double-track negotiations at the climate conference. They called for developed countries that signed the Kyoto Protocol to discuss emission cuts after 2012. Those who didn't sign the agreement have been urged to discuss long-term and wider range emission cuts in accordance with the convention.
