Wu said Obama's China tour is significant for Sino-US relations, and plays an important part in developing bilateral ties. Wu expressed gratitude that Obama supports frequent communications and exchanges between the two legislatures.

In their meeting, Wu Bangguo gave an introduction to the reforms in China's democratic legal system. Obama described his China visit as a great success, saying common agreements had been reached in many fields. Obama hoped to strengthen exchanges between the two legislatures, and shared praise for the development and achievements brought by China's political reform.
