In Beijing, security and traffic are being tightened for the up & coming National Day festivities. This covers all people, goods, and vehicles entering and leaving the capital.

Checkpoints have been set up to examine license plates, driver's licenses, and ID cards. Transportation of toxic or dangerous chemicals within a certain area or time span are banned without permission by traffic authorities. The security checks will continue through October 8th.
