Seven people have died after an unfinished overpass collapsed in southwest China's Yunnan Province. Sunday's accident injured dozens of others, with eight in serious condition.

Seven people have died after an unfinished overpass collapsed in southwest China's Yunnan Province.

The collapse occurred at 2:20 in the afternoon at an airport under construction in the provincial capital, Kunming. Six workers were immediately pronounced dead, while the body of another was later retrieved from the debris. The crumbled overpass section was 38 meters long, and 13 meters wide. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
