Eleven direct charter flights will operate between Nanning City in south China and ten capital cities of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. The increase in flights comes ahead of the sixth China-ASEAN Expo to be held from the 20th to 24th of October.
The Chinese government invited qualified companies to bid for the flights. Time schedules and fares have been determined and published.
Meanwhile, other preparatory work for the expo is also underway. So far, more than 20,000 volunteers have signed up to work in 30 areas around the city. They will provide information, language services and emergency relief.
