A former chairman of Chinese electronics giant Gome has appeared in a Beijing court, charged with illegal business dealings, insider trading and bribery.
Huang Guangyu is accused of illegally trading 822 million Hong Kong dollars and insider trading involving more than 1.4 billion yuan. Prosecutors also claim Huang, one of China's richest men, bribed officials with nearly 4.6 million yuan in cash for his own companies.
Huang's wife Du Juan and one of Huang's business partners, Xu Zhongmin, have also been charged with insider trading.
