Growth of average land prices slows

In the first quarter of this year, the growth of average land prices on national scale slowed. However, in second and third tier cities was up sharply.

A China Urban Land Price Dynamic Monitor survey says in the first three months of this year land prices in most cities grew within a range between 0 and 5 percent. And if we look at them by groups, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Beijing of first-tier cities saw their land prices grow respectively by 4.82 percent, 9.84 percent, 4.66 percent and 6.16 percent quarter-on-quarter while Haikou, Zhongshan and Kunming of second and third tier cities saw a growth rate of more than 10 percent. Statistics show land prices are still on the rise, but the growth slowed down due to the tightening policies.
