Special Report: Yuan Not to Blame for Trade Surplus |

The Chinese Vice Commerce Minister says China and the U.S. have reached basic agreements to keep the yuan exchange rate and China's foreign trade policies basically stable.

Zhong Shan made the remarks at the ongoing China Import and Export Fair in Guangzhou. He recently met US government officials to negotiate bilateral trade issues. After months of tension, relations are improving. The U.S. has postponed its decision on whether it would include China in its list of exchange rate manipulators.
