Shanghai firms buy big in Taiwan

The Shanghai business delegation, led by Mayor Han Zheng, has signed at least 57 million US dollars' worth of contracts during its first day in Taiwan. Over 80 big companies, such as the Bailian Group and Lianhua Supermarket, came ready to buy. They signed deals to purchase general merchandise, agricultural products and electronic components. The group will later visit some hi-tech parks and the southern part of the island.
