China's currency, the Yuan edged lower against the dollar in both the spot and offshore forwards markets on Thursday while the U.S. dollar climbed to 10-month high against a basket of six major currencies.

Dealers said the market's awaiting cues on the yuan. Chinese Vice Commerce Minister Zhong Shan, who is on his visit to Washington, said China would reform its currency policy gradually and keep the exchange rate stable as it is good for a steady recovery of the world economy.
