With just over a month until the opening of the Shanghai World Expo, final improvements are being made to the city's transportation links.

A special subway, line 13, is in the final stages of adjustment and will start a trial run in ten days. Trains that run on the line will have six carriages, each accommodating 300 passengers. The line will begin full operation on the opening day of the expo, and will carry 70 trains every day. Meanwhile, the city has arranged 42 special bus lines for transporting visitors to and from the expo. They will transport 20 percent of passengers during the event.
