Tour promotion for Shanghai Expo

Hefei, the capital of eastern China's Anhui province, is holding "Expo Travel Night." The big event is to promote travel during the Shanghai World Expo, due to open on May 1st. Officials from tourism bureaus in Shanghai, Jiangsu, and Anhui and Expo organizers are introducing travel routes and the event itself. More than 300 representatives from travel companies are attending.

Expo Travel Night set up a communication platform for the tourism industry. It brought together travel agents and airlines, the major companies who organize travellers.

Liu Kezhi, Director, Expo Tourism Promotion Office, said, "We hold this event before the expo in order to let all travel products be introduced and negotiated."

More than 100 travel companies set up booths to exchange information, introduce travel routes and negotiate cooperation.
