Survey backlash against housing prices

2010-03-16 14:01 BJT

Seventy percent of Chinese believe housing prices are unbearably high. That's according to findings from a survey conducted by the central bank. The number of citizens ticking the option has steadily risen since the second quarter of last year, especially from medium and high income earners.

More respondents cited concerns over inflation compared to last quarter, but were slightly more optimistic about their personal income. The study sampled people's responses from 50 cities nationwide.
