Today, March 15th, is World Consumer Rights Day. Statistics from China Consumers' Association shows that during 2009, product quality was still the top issue which consumers had complained.
Through 2009, the association had received more than 630 thousand complaints. Among them, 580 thousand were resolved. Quality problems accounted for nearly 60 percent of all complaints, followed by sales contracts and prices. In term of product type, clothing ranked first. Mobile phones, food, and telecom services were also complained a lot. Compared with previous years, several sectors are witnessing more complaints. They include flight delay by airlines, Internet services, health food, beauty service, fertilizer and LCD screens.
