Toyota announcement on Prius expected

Reports from Japan suggest that Toyota is poised to approve a recall in the United States of the Prius model, due to braking problems.

Toyota says it can be fixed with a software programming change, which hasn't been issued yet. There have been reports that Toyota has told dealers in the US via e-mail that it's preparing to repair the brakes on thousands of Prius vehicles. The Prius is the world's top-selling green car of petrol-electric hybrid.
