Toyota recalls RAV4 cars in China

An update on a massive product safety recall by Toyota. The Japanese car maker will recall over 75,000 RAV-4 cars in China starting on February 28th, as part of a worldwide recall. The Tianjin Toyota Motor Company has filed a report on this with China's Quality Administrator.

The cars were produced between March 19th, 2009 and January 25th, 2010. There is a potential malfunction in the accelerator pedal. The sales of all RAV-4s with the potential problem have been stopped. And Toyota will correct the problem for free. Car owners will receive recall notifications by mail, telephone, or mobile text message. Consumers in China can also call Toyota's hotline or log onto its website to learn more.
