With the Spring Festival approaching, travel agencies are busy, despite a significant rise in prices.

Over the weekend, people in Yangzhou were checking out Spring Festival tours.

Yangzhou resident said, "I am here to book my flights for the Spring Festival vacation."

It's not just Spring Festival on February 14th, but also Saint Valentine's Day. The overlap happens every 50 years. Romantic getaways to islands such as Phuket and Bali have been booked. Domestic tours also provide incentives like roses, candlelight dinners and movie tickets.

A travel agent said, "More people are asking about trips and they have more options."

Higher air fares are in effect through the Spring Festival.

"Most tour packages cost about two thousand yuan more than last year."

According to the National Tourism Administration, the cost of travel during the Spring Festival will rise by 5 to 10 percent. Despite this increase, people are still willing to spend to have a good time.
