Christmas has come early for animals at Taronga Zoo in Sydney, Australia. Some of the zoo's most famous residents got into the festive spirit with some merry treats in gift bags.

Kangaroos and wallabies enjoyed peanut butter-topped pine cones, while a Sumatran tiger discovered a big piece of meat inside her Christmas gift bag. Meanwhile, the zoo's elephants wrapped their trunks around jumbo-sized ice pops filled with fruit. The gifts are part of the zoo's "behavioral enrichment program", which focus on the social health of the animals.
