A delegation of the mainland-based Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits has arrived in Taiwan for a new round of talks.

The delegation left Beijing Monday morning, headed by ARATS President, Chen Yunlin. He will meet with Chiang Pin-kung, chairman of Taiwan's Straits Exchange Foundation, in the city of Taichung.
On the agenda are working together in the fishing industry, taxation, as well as the inspection and quarantine of agricultural products. The Director of the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office says he hopes talks will be smooth and lead to benefits for people on both sides of the straits.
Wang Yi, Director of Taiwan Affairs Office, State Council said "The purpose of the talks is to benefit people from both sides of the straits. It also aims to provide actual solutions to existing problems. We have done this in the past, and will continue our efforts in the future. I believe Taiwan residents will support the talks, and maintain a friendly and relaxed atmosphere."
