China's big four banks lay out 2010 loan policies

The Chinese government will stick to pro-active fiscal policies and relaxed monetary policies in 2010. China's four big banks have now clarified their own policies for granting loans for the year ahead.

ICBC will specially support SMEs, and will make their loans grow faster than the average growth. It will also extend more loans in the central, western, and northeast regions.

China construction Bank will develop financial services for people's livelihoods, and continue to ensure loans for key projects.

Bank of China will take full advantage of its international network and multiple business platform to extend cross-border settlement business and other RMB services overseas. It will also accelerate construction of domestic outlets, and develop innovative financial products.

Agricultural Bank of China will continue to give priority to the agriculture sector, and accelerate innovation in its products and services.
