Preparation for cross-straits talks going well

The Director for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, says preparations are going well for the fourth round of cross-straits talks. Wang Yi was meeting with a delegation of Taiwan businessmen and entrepreneurs on Monday.

Wang Yi said the new round of talks is expected to bring even more benefits to the people across the Straits. He hoped that the event would speed up normalization of economic and trade relations and have a positive effect on the revival and development of the Taiwan's economy.

The fourth round of talks between the mainland-based Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits and Taiwan-based Straits Exchange Foundation are set to be held in Fuzhou at the end of the month. Topics will cover cooperation in the fishery industry, labor, quarantine and inspection of agricultural produce.
