If you want to take a chartered flight across the Taiwan Straits for the Spring Festival holiday, you may be too late to get a ticket.
According to media in Taiwan island, they have already been booked out in advance by Taiwan businesspeople. And that's despite airline companies not even releasing prices just yet, with two months to go before the break.
Taiwan aviation departments are now talking to their mainland partners about the possibility of adding more flights during festival seasons. Past experience suggests there is a real need for more flights with connections to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Kunming and Ningbo.
Officials at China Airlines say they hope a decision will be made as soon as possible for the convenience of many passengers.
