Officials from the National Development and Reform Commission say China's 12th five year plan, will focus on restructuring the economy.
The top economic planner says the country will have difficulty in sustaining double digit growth in the future if certain issues are not addressed. During the next five year period between 2011 to 2015, restructuring will target market demand, industry, the urban-rural divide, and regional structures.
In addition, the government will strive to improve public services, narrow income gaps, protect the environment and safeguard social equality. The 12th five-year plan will also continue market reforms and the opening up process.
