Now let's take a review of the history of cooperation between China and ASEAN.

Jul. 1991, China started formal dialogue with ASEAN.

Jul. 1996, China became dialogue partner of ASEAN.

Dec. 1997, China attended 1st China-ASEAN summit in Kuala Lumpur, signed "Joint Declaration".

Nov. 2002, China and ASEAN signed "Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement", set the target of China-ASEAN free trade area in 2010.

Oct. 2003, China and ASEAN signed "Joint Declaration of Strategic Partnership towards Peace and Prosperity", China joined "The Treaty of Amity & Cooperation in Southern Asia".

2004, China and ASEAN signed "Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement towards goods trade", "Agreement on Dispute Settlement Mechanism"

Jan. 2007, China and ASEAN signed "Agreement on trade in services".

Aug. 2009, China and ASEAN signed "Investment Agreement".
