Urumqi Trade Fair signs 134 projects

At the 18th Urumqi Trade Fair in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, 134 cooperation projects have been signed. The projects involve investment of 79 billion yuan.

Both figures are higher than last year's fair. 71 billion yuan will be invested by other municipalities, provinces and autonomous regions. And investment from large companies accounts for 60 percent of the total amount. The projects cover areas of resource exploration, energy, petrochemical, tourism, real estate and food processing. Since 1992, over 10 thousand projects have been signed at the Urumqi trade fair with total investment exceeding 600 billion yuan.
