Chinese white dolphins mainly inhabit the Pacific Ocean, Indian Ocean and east coast of China. The endangered sepecies are listed as national-level protected animals.
Chinese white dolphins are black color at birth. Young animals are grey with pink speckles. Adults turn white with a pinkish tint.
It is listed as a first-class protected animal. The number of endangered dolphins is dropping with no more than 3,0000 still alive.
There are now fewer than 3,000 endangered Chinese white dolphins among the living.
