Since he was two months old, Lele has suffered from obstructive hydrocephalus, which causes the bloating of his brain. Since then, the couple has taken of Lele, embarking on a long journey to seek medical treatment.

Last year, the couple sold their house. Along with donations from the public, they took Lele to Beijing for the first course of treatment. Meanwhile, they helped Lele do the recovery work every day.

Lele’s condition has greatly improved. “We hope that Lele could get better soon, and take care of himself someday, because we’re getting older and older. And, of course, he should go to school,” said Huang Lifen, Lele’s foster mother.
