Editor's note: In a previous series of interviews with several Ambassadors here in Beijing, CCTV.com Panview also invited them to talk about the Belt and Road Initiative and share their insights.
In today's episode of Insights on Belt & Road, the CCTV.com Panview team features an interview with the Swiss Ambassador to China Jean-Jacques de Dardel. He talks about how China and Switzerland have forged ahead to embark on greater cooperation through the New Silk Road.
For generations, Switzerland has played a pivotal role to keep Europe strong and now hopes to create stronger connections between Beijing and the European Union.
The Swiss ambassador believes even brighter days are ahead, since his nation embraces globalism ideals, while Chinese President Xi Jinping on a state visit to Switzerland touted "inclusive growth" at the Davos Forum.
Jean-Jacques de Dardel encourages Beijing to keep promoting the Belt & Road Initiatives not only for the benefit of economic cooperation development, but to encourage more people-to-people and cultural exchanges.
He explains this and more.
And you can find them all in this video, and stay tuned for future episodes of CCTV.com's 'Insights on Belt and Road' video series...
