Editor's note: In a previous series of interviews with several Ambassadors here in Beijing, CCTV.com also invited them to talk about the Belt and Road Initiative and share their insights.

In today's program, South African Ambassador to China Dolana Msimang talks about how the New Silk Road will add tremendous value to her nation’s economy, and will enhance bilateral ties with Beijing.

South Africa is one of the strongest economies in Africa with the most powerful diplomatic presence on the continent. The nation serves as the cornerstone for Africa and offers vital connections for Beijing to spur better relations with the African Union.

The South African ambassador believes even brighter days are ahead, since her nation holds a long and rich history of helping global companies to do more business in Africa-at-large.

Ambassador Msimang also highlighted how South Africa hopes Beijing can demonstrate a greater willingness for Chinese companies to launch more vocational training programs so the South African youth can jumpstart their careers.

She explains this and more.
