US President Donald Trump has given high praise to Chinese President Xi Jinping. In an interview with Reuters, Trump said that President Xi "is doing everything in his power" on the difficult DPRK nuclear issue, and "is doing an amazing job as leader".

The US president added that Xi doesn't want to see turmoil and death, and that they had established a very good, personal relationship. He went on to say that President Xi loves his country as well as its people.
