The foreign ministers of Russia, Syria and Iran have all denounced last week's US missile strikes in Syria. They held a joint press conference in Moscow on Friday, following trilateral talks.

The three vowed to investigate a chemical attack in Syria earlier this month that the west blames on the Syrian government. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said a further meeting would be held in Kazakhstan's capital Astana to discuss the Syrian settlement.
