The first female giant panda cub born in Spain had two special visitors as she took baby steps outside her home in Madrid. She was accompanied by Queen Sofia of Spain and the ambassador of China.
The baby panda, Chulina, was born in August last year. Her name, which means "treasure among the bamboo" in Chinese, was chosen by local residents by vote. And, her special guest, Queen Sofia, has been one of the key figures promoting the giant panda breeding program in Madrid. No wonder she didn't want to miss the chance to check out Chulina's first walk outside.
