Early April, it is the beautiful spring season of budding trees and blooming flowers. At the invitation of Finnish President Sauli Niinisto and U.S. President Donald Trump, President Xi Jinping pays a state visit to Finland from April 4 to 6, and he will have a meeting with Trump at Mar-a-lago, Florida, the United States from April 6 to 7.
Xi's trip to Europe and the U.S is of great significance and with far-reaching implications, which has attracted global attention.
Xi's trip to Finland is his first trip to northern Europe as president. This visit aims to draw a blueprint for the future development of China-Finland relations and promote the docking of China's 13th Five-Year Plan and Vision: Finland 2025, injecting new vitality to the bilateral relations.
This trip is expected to further strengthen China-Northern Europe cooperation and advance Sino-European partnerships for peace, growth, reform and civilization.
The meeting between Xi and Trump at Mar-a-lago will be the first since Trump assumed office in January. The meeting will be of great significance to charting Sino-US relationships in a new era, advancing the development of bilateral ties in a healthy and stable way from a new starting point, and promoting peace, stability and prosperity in Asia and the Pacific and the world at large.
