Chinese president, premier condemn London terrorist attack

Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang have passed on their condolences to the United Kingdom over Thursday's terror attack in London which left four people killed. In a phone call to Queen Elizabeth II, the Chinese president strongly condemned the attack and sent his sympathies to the victims and their families. He said terrorism is the enemy of the international community, adding that China firmly opposes all forms of terrorism. He said China is willing to cooperate with the UK and the international community to make the world a safer place.

Meanwhile, Premier Li -- who's currently in Australia on an official visit -- also condemned the attack. He and his Australian counterpart, Malcolm Turnbull vowed to work together to fight extremism in all its forms. They also passed on their condolences and offered their support to the UK.
