Chinese Premier Li Keqiang has begun an official visit to Australia. He attended a luncheon Thursday morning hosted by his counterpart Malcolm Turnbull.
The Premier delivered the speech at a welcoming ceremony held by his Australian counterpart, Malcolm Turnbull.
During his five-day stay, the two will hold their annual prime ministers meeting, and attend a forum on China-Australia economic and trade cooperation. He also plans to meet Governor-General Peter Cosgrove and other parliamentary officials. Li Keqiang is the first Chinese premier to visit Australia in 11 years.
In his speech at the luncheon, he said his visit aims to enhance free trade and discuss ways to boost cooperation in various sectors.
