The European Union Chamber of Commerce in China says the investment environment for foreign businesses operating in China remains challenging. Its 2016 Business Confidence Survey showed that 47% of European businesses in China plan to expand their operations, down from 56% in the previous year.

Our reporter Martina Fuchs caught up with the lobby's President Joerg Wuttke to discuss the necessary reforms and started by asking him about his latest assessment of the business mood among foreign players.
