Chinese living in Zimbabwe have been preparing an array of activities to welcome the spring festival. They include stunning performances from both Chinese and Zimbabwean artists.
"I note that the Chinese people use their culture as the bedrock upon which they built a robust creative culture economy thus as a ministry we are also harnessing our various cultures and knowledge systems in order to bring about development for our creative culture industry and all its value chain," said Ivan Murambiwa, regional archives director, Zimbabwe.
The event was organized by the ministry of the People's Republic of China and the Chinese embassy. The Chinese New Year is the most important of the holidays for the Chinese. It lasts 16 days, starting on the twenty eighth of January to mid-february.
