BEIJING, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- Zhou Youguang, a renowned Chinese linguist, died at the age of 112 on Saturday morning in Beijing.
Zhou was born in Changzhou in east China's Jiangsu Province. He spent his early years studying economics and began studying linguistics in 1955.
