U.S. President-elect Donald Trump said on Wednesday that telecommunications group Sprint Corp and a U.S. satellite company OneWeb will bring 8,000 jobs to the United States.
Trump said,"So we have a combination of Sprint for 5000 jobs and that's coming from all over the world and they're coming back into the United States which is a nice change, and also OneWeb, 3000 jobs, it's a new company."
Sprint is 82 percent owned by Japan's SoftBank, which has agreed to invest $1 billion in OneWeb. It was unclear how the 8,000 jobs are related to a $50 billion investment announced in December by SoftBank. Trump has become personally involved in a series of company issues since winning election last month.
