Global trade faces numerous uncertainties heading into 2017--one of them is from the US. It was reported that US President-elect Donald Trump would raise customs tariffs by 5 percent on all exports to the United States, a move that could damage global trade.
Secretary general of China Chamber of International Commerce, Yu Jianlong, said, "Trump has raised a lot of anti-globalization views during his election campaign. But whether those words will become reality after he takes the position of the US president, we have to wait and see."
