The chairman of South Korea's national pension fund - Moon Hyung-pyo - has been detained on suspicion of abuse of power, as the investigation into the country's ongoing political scandal continues.
The special prosecutor's office said that it had raided Moon's home, and is looking into whether he put pressure on the pension fund to support last year's 8 billion US dollar merger of two Samsung Group affiliates. Arriving at the prosecutor's office on Tuesday, Moon said that he would cooperate with investigators.
