Industry and Information Technology Minister Miao Yu also said Monday that China's industrial output is expected to grow 6 percent in 2016. That's while the energy consumption of unit output will likely decrease 5 percent. Miao said that the telecommunications and internet sectors both saw fast growth, at 53 percent and 40 percent this year, respectively. The minister said that 2017's industrial output will be about 6 percent, the same as this year.
