The friends and relatives of suspected terrorist Anis Amri doubt his involvement in the attack.
A childhood friend who requested anonymity says Amri is a normal guy who, in the friend's words, "fled despair in search of a better life." He says Amri was imprisoned in Italy, but it was for a minor offense. Amri's brother Abdelkader Amri is calling for his surrender.
He insists his brother is innocent. Police are looking for Amri after finding an identity document under the driver's seat of the truck used in the attack.
