Evacuations in rebel-held parts of Aleppo are underway. The Red Cross said the last convoy of vehicles is expected to transport rebel fighters and civilians from the embattled city today. Earlier, rebels said the evacuations were slowed down by bad weather overnight, and that around 2,000 fighters and civilians were still waiting to be transported from Aleppo.
The Syrian government said it is awaiting the completion of the evacuations, so it can declare victory - the end of the offensive to recapture the rebel stronghold. It's estimated around 30,000 people have been evacuated from Aleppo since last Thursday.
