The “Roads of Arabia Expo” has come to Beijing's National Museum of China. The exhibition focuses on the impact of the ancient trade routes across the Arabian Peninsula that fostered economic and cultural exchanges between peoples.

The exhibition showcases more than 300 objects ranging from ornate pottery and monumental statues, to the jewelry that adorned the remains of a young girl buried nearly 300 years ago. Many items provide examples of how Arabia was influenced by ancient civilizations further north. (Most of it) is being displayed outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the first time.

The Beijing exhibition is the first stop on the Asian leg, and the 11th after being held in four European countries and five cities in the United States. It runs at the National Museum of China until March 19th next year.
