The international community has condemned the assassination of the Russian Ambassador to Turkey. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Tuesday sent a message of condolence to Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov, stressing that Beijing firmly opposes all forms of terrorism.
The United States echoed this sentiment, with the White House, State Department, Pentagon and President-elect Donald Trump all voicing their condemnation. While the UN Security Council, European Union, France, Iran and Syria also denounced the attack.
