A yearly art festival between China and European countries will begin next year. It is meant to be a platform for cultural exchanges between the East and West. A press conference has just been held, releasing details about the art festival. The first China-Europe Art Festival will take place in Italy, July 2017.

Italy to hold China-Europe Art Festival in 2017

The festival is scheduled to go to different European countries in following years. Initial competitions will be held in China to select art groups for the event. They will join European performers to work together in symphonies and other cultural activities. 

The art festival is part of China’s “Belt and Road” initiative in the field of cultural communication.
